Woodside Tour de Perth 2013

Dates: Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th April 2013
2013 will see the Woodside Tour de Perth become the first event of the 2013 Subaru National Road Series, Australia’s premier road cycling series. The Woodside Tour de Perth will attract elite riders from Australia and overseas. This event will offer a unique spectator opportunity to watch world-class international cyclists compete in the heart of Perth.
The Woodside Tour de Perth will be run in conjunction with the UWCT Perth 2013 program. The event comprises of the following four stages:
Stage 1 – Thursday 11th April:80km road race around Rottnest Island;
Stage 2 – Friday 12th April:20km individual time trial around Rottnest Island;
Stage 3 – Saturday 13th April:120km road race in the Perth Hills, starting and finishing in Kalamunda;
Stage 4 – Sunday 14th April:112km road race around Perry Lakes and Bold Park
Perth Festival of Cycling – The Events:
From 9 to 14 April 2013, Perth will host a series of world-class road cycling races in the heart of the city, Rottnest Island and the Perth Hills. The events will attract amateur and elite riders from Australia and from overseas to compete – offering spectacular and unique spectator opportunities, and showcasing the city and its broader regions to a national and international audience. In 2013, the Perth Festival of Cycling will comprise the following four cycling events.
Cycling Australia National Masters Track Championships
Dates: Tuesday 9th – Saturday 13th April 2013
Track racing for all Masters categories at Midvale Speed Dome, WA’s only indoor velodrome.
UCI World Cycling Tour (UWCT) Perth
Dates: Friday 12th – Sunday 14th April 2013
The UWCT is a series of UCI-sanctioned races that are held all over the world. The UWCT will comprise a maximum of 15 qualifier events, leading to the UWCT Final, the former UCI Masters Road World Championships. UWCT Perth has established a reputation as a leading UCI-sanctioned qualifying event for amateurs and masters on the global cycling stage. The event comprises two stages:
Day 1 – Friday 12th April:20km individual time trial around Rottnest Island;
Day 2 – Sunday 14th April:112km road race around Perry Lakes and Bold Park

Café Ride
Date: Sunday 14th April 2013
This is a mass participation ride, giving cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to complete two laps of the closed roads UWCT Road Race course, followed by breakfast in the event village.
